THE WAY TOWARD ACE PILOT

Thirteen years ago, a man wanted to become a fighter pilot.
In Japan, there are two courses to become a fighter pilot. One is entering the pilot school of Japan self defense air force. Another is firstly entering Defense University, and after graduating it , secondly entering pilot school as a officer. He, however, had to abandon both courses because of his bad eyesight.

Then he went to the normal university after two years blank to major in physics. At the period as a doctor course student, a air show took place in the same prefecture that his university was located. The air show was wonderful! He saw it, enjoyed it, got excited at it, and was frustrated by it.

Several years later, he was a lecturer of a university. He had Ph.D, a cute wife, comfortable apartment, a so-so car.

One day, a colleague showed him Play Station, which was a video game machine. The colleague showed him several games, and demonstrated them, RayStorm, Soul Blade etc.. Though all games seemed to be boring for him, he was moved deeply by a shooting game named ACE COMBAT 2. He shouted in his mind, "TALLY-HO!".

The evening of that day, he took his wife to a game shop and said,
"For heaven's sake, buy Play Station and ACE COMBAT 2 for me!"
because his wife had the authority to manage ALL money in house. Anyway, he got them at all. His Play Station was bought ONLY for ACE COMBAT 2.

The life as a fighter pilot started. Whole time before sleep, and all holidays were spent for air battles. He bought a new 21 inch TV, ONLY for ACE COMBAT 2. His wife was red with anger.
No one could stop his flight and battle.
No one could take away his delight to fly in sky freely.
